Hi Chip, Good advice on the links and Paypal, I got hoodwinked when someone sent a fake aknowledgment for a purchase and provided a link. Even though I caught it within 10 minutes when the real seller contacted me, (that was a surprise!!) the crooks still had time to go for $600. Visa was great about denying payments to Paypal so nothing was paid out. Since then, troublefree for years. Cheers, Lee Jacobsen , Mi [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Paypal

My son had a wretched experience with Paypal about 7 years ago: He bought a $700 item and paid for it via Paypal. The seller never shipped the item. Paypal did not reimburse my son as advertised. They seized the bank account of the seller ($18.00) and sent it to my son saying that was the limit of their liability. So much for one's money back via Paypal. I keep getting notices from Paypal to open an account. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Local police initially agreed to prosecute, saying they had previous complaints on file for the seller. After a year of inactivity, they "dropped" the case after a year, although my son volunteered to fly south and testify at his own expense. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
