I have soldered and welded tanks many a time with a torch but you have to know what you are doing... .and that includes many rinses and soaks with dish soap. Steve TC2911 --------------------------------------------

AVIATION FUEL 100 low lead Many of you many already know that especially for car not driven often AV gas is our friend. That goes for cars driven Dailey .Av has will last for YEARS . And will not hurt a thing.Just be careful because the car will start immediately . Some airport sources are friendly to sell this fuel. Others are mother henish. I put this in the Cain saw lawn mover outboard boat motor.Enjoy AllCarey beerRemington VA

I ve rebuilt a friends XPAG engine in his YT.  It has Accuspark electronic ignition.

 

Being a real old bugger, can someone tell me how I set the ignition timing. I normally put a meter on the points so I can see when they open but I ve no idea how to deal with this new electronic wizardry

Andrea,

 

As you say I know all that. The reason for the question was that I ve found a strobe light on normal points and coil won t work at starter speeds. However I ll try it (will be on Tuesday now) and see if I can a good reading at starter speeds . LYNNE, CAN YOU JUST PULL THIS KNOB!
