I remember reading somewhere that the replacement wire from some of the bigger suppliers wasn't heavy enough to handle the current draw of the wiper motor. I simply ran 2 14ga wires for the wiper. I simply covered the exposed portion between the windshield and cowl with a length of black braided shoestring. It may not be correct for the OP but it looks neat and tidy and it works. Re: Wiper Motor Wiring
What I have done is different. I combine the two wires into one and then arrange a short lead to one of the mounting bolts on the wiper motor to windscreen. Under the dash I pick up continuity and lead it to a good earth. I have done this on at least 15 cars to date and have zero problems. It is almost imposible to see externally as all there is is one little lead going to the bolt instead of retreating into the harness.

FW: [mg-tabc] Wiper Motor Wiring
British Wiring sells a very nice wiper motor wire that is a heavier gauge
than Moss, is covered in black fabric and is flattened so it fits the
windscreen easily. I highly recommend it.
