Marty,
Not sure where you live, but in the UK I believe Sports & Vintage may sell them, and possibly NTG in Ipswich. Barry Walker may also sell them. However if you do track one down new they are very expensive. Used ones are rarer than hen's teeth.

Re: TA
Clive,
How are they different? I'm going to see if I have a spare fuel tap but not
sure exactly what to look for to suit a TA. My TA Tickford is a basket case
but I did obtain several fuel taps from a Tickford estate sale in
California.

Does anyone know a source for the "Tap" to switch from main to reserve
fuel. This is the one that is mounted on the bracket on the tool box.
Thanks,
Marty

Re: TA
Barry Walker, who is mentioned as a source for the fuel taps, uses a new design that eliminates the leaky cork aspect.
They are not cheap but they work great and include the knob etc.

Re: TA
Hi Bob,
There are at least two types.
Both my late TA and TB have a unit in
which, looking at the rhs of the toolbox:
a. From the left enters the dash board
operated control rod
b. From below come the two pipes from
the fuel tank
c. From the right is the outlet pipe to the
fuel pump
d. From above is the screw thread that
attaches the unit to the bracket mounted
on the toolbox. so the nut is uppermost.
The majority of TA and all TB have this,
it is part number MG695/1 and commenced
chassis No TA0824.
The other type has a. and b. but the fixing
bolt is on the right and the outlet to the fuel
pump is uppermost, so here the bracket is
turned at 90 degrees on the toolbox, and the
fixing nut faces the front of the car. Works
photos of early chassis show this type (ref
Art of Abingdon, John McLellan, MRP,
1982, p126). This is part No MG476/2.
This second type is also used on the MMM
if I remember rightly (and there is also a third
MMM type too I seem to recall as well)

Re: TA
Hi Bob,
From what I can determine the tap on this TA should be part
number MG695/1 as you described. It is best shown in Malcolm
Green's book "MG T Series Restoration Guide", page 99.
