Re: Windscreen wiper
My TC's wipers work just fine, and have ever since I bought the car in 1967. Really simple to maintain too. I can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with them.

Windscreen wiper
Hello Peter,
I can't answer your question directly, but it depends what the problem is. Often a good clean and fresh grease in the gearbox will free the unit up.
See my article in TABC Technology http://www.mg-tabc.org/techn-up/new%20life%20for%20an%20old%20wiper%20motor.pdf
Not difficult.

Re: Windscreen wiper
Biggest problem with the original wiper motors seems to be slow running.
There are two simple fixes to try before abandoning the unit. First is
as has already been suggested. Clean out the old grease, which can be
almost as hard as candle wax after 70 years. The second is to make sure
you have a separate earth wire to the motor rather than relying on the
windscreen frame. There is not much room between the frame and glass for
a two core cable so in the past many people have given up and just used
a single core wire when reassembling the screen. It is amazing what a
difference a twocore cable can make. You can not realistically expect to
get a decent circuit through a brass frame bolted via brackets to a
steel panel which is nailed to a wooden frame!

Jerry Felper has done excellently with all the MG "stuff" I have sent to him over the years.
