NTG have the carbon seal for the TA -- don't know about the TC. George Smith Gsmith@smithwatson.com> wrote:I am triing to rebuild a spare TC water pump. I still need the carbon seal which mounts infront of the impeller. Neither Moss nor Abingdon Spares carry it. Any ideas on who may carry this part. Thanks George Your use of Yahoo! Both those seals should be the same, the Early TC had a chunky piece of carbon on the impeller side and was turned by a cross pin in the shaft, as opposed to later T C and TD/F where the seal was more conventional and remained stationary. The MGSA as well as prewar Morris used this type of technology. There is also a rubber diaphragm behind that seal as well as a hefty spring.
