running problem?????

When you resart the car, do you do this immediately (no chance of the coil cooling down), and does it idle OK then? If you then rev the accelerator and let it settle back to idle, does it quit? OK all of you xpag gurus I have a problem for you. A good friend has a TD (I know but same engine as the TC) that starts and runs fine. As long as you are moving it seems to run fine. Stop for a stop sign or traffic light or let it idle in the driveway it will quit just like someone turned off the ignition. It does not sputter like it is running out of fuel but just stops. It will then start right up just like nothing happened. It has new plugs, points, condensor, rotor, wires, and cap. We are totaly mystified. Any and all ideas greatly appreciated.
