Well now the problem there is that when talking to an old Royal Navy
veteran, he told me that after chipping and scraping on the corvette
(boat, not car), they just used what was at hand and the "colours"
were by no means standard between batches....... Wonder if there are
any color chips available from the Royal Navy archives?

I have it on good authority that the Rustoleum gray at your local Ace
hardware store is made from reconstituted pigment which has been
carefully hand sanded off of mothballed WWII battleships by legions of
trained chimps equipped with palm sanders and ear plugs.
Keep it under your hat Paul, if those T-ABC guys find out, the Rustoleum
gray will disappear off the shelves faster than bread and milk before a
hurricane.
