Nuts (knockoff)
After our friend in UK has done with bashing his knockoff ears, he may
wish to bid on my very rare, original Borrani ones being offered on
ebay. These are big handsome knockoff caps with the correct thread
count and size to fit on any T-ABC. They may not be "original" but they
are "period" and you will have the only set at the next MG show! Plus,
they will give your car an attractive Italian accent.

"BUY MY STUFF AT HIGHEST COST, BEAT OUT THE OTHER GUY,STEP RIGHT UP
AND HURRY" advertising has no business in a help forum.
Thats all need be said.

Re: [mg-tabc] Nuts (knockoff)
Mark,
I kind of share your sentiments, but please do not single out Mr Badger for
such a comment. Many a member held in high esteem by this list has also
pointed us to e-bay in order to unload some of their stuff. Indeed some
have simply advertised it on this medium.....
Now I am not a great fan of someone advertising their business, or even
hobby business on this list, but surplus bits and bobs is not really going
to hurt anyone is it? In any event, its not my list, its everyone so
perhaps they can voice their opinion. Of course this is going to start
another non-MG Technical thread...... Apologies in advance Derek....

Re: [mg-tabc] Nuts (knockoff)
Dear Mark,
I am not advertising or selling via "the list", I am merely bringing
this item to the attention of the membership in general, as a public
service, believing that the item in question will be of interest to
anyone owning a T-A,B, or C. I am not suggesting that any member should
contact me directly to purchase these knockoffs but, certainly, any
member is free to bid, or not bid, on my items or any other items on the
ebay auction site (www.ebay.com) as they may wish.
Could it be that the REAL intent of your note was to scare away other
bidders so that you could snatch these great knockoffs for yourself?
A dastardly thought!

For what it's worth, I agree with Chip Old that posting parts availibiity to
the list is OK.
Carl Fritz
the list is OK.

Exactly my point. More power and thanks to the person that offers services
or spare parts to other members.
The AUCTION CONCEPT is the point. The main MG page, with its classifieds for
both parts and cars, also specifically states "no auction site ads
accepted". There must be a concern there.
No further discussed required.

Re: [mg-tabc] Nuts (knockoff)
I personally don't mind the posting of TC related items on the list. Without
it, I probably would never have known about the oil filter adapters I got from
Bob Grunau. I personally have problems with the auction concept - just not my
style. But then that's what the delete button is for.

Charles Hill

Re: [mg-tabc] Nuts (knockoff)
Well said Chip!
I agree. If I am looking for an item why not look on this site I may
have more chance of finding it and the contributors will know what I am
talking about!
