Signal Lamps for Home models that had to conform to NA requirements

Good-day: About the only two things that were not liberated from my
vehicle as it lay exposed to the elements and opportunists from 1966 to
1979, were two lamps used for signalling purposes. These were fitted to
the gas tank, that had about 100 holes punched in it, on either side, in
the usual position. The two that did sit on the front splash apron,
were long gone. Only the tell tale rust marks betrayed their existence.
Amazingly though, the two rear lamps cleaned up quite nicely. These
lamps were made in the U.S.of A., and bear the name: " Arrow Safety
Device Co." Model No.7, and an address of Mt. Holly, N.J. The lamps are
about 4 inches in diametre and about 3-1/2 inches deep. They are of a
semi tear drop pot, with a detacheable frontespiece. there is a
flattened portion on the bottom, and a bit of a mounting plinth below
which is detacheable. They are hooded, the hood being about 1-3/4 inches
at the top centre and they fold away and back to the centre on each side
of the frontespiece.There is a large, three piece, orange directional
indicating arrow held by the frontespiece and all of this comes adrift
when the frontespiece is removed. Now, that I have rambelled on so: does
anyone know of these rather, out-of-place sized lamps and are there any
available? I know they are not the EXU type, but this vehicle did not
have signal lamps and all was definitely an after market set-up. As
awkward as they may appear, I would like to use this system, as they
were fitted, locally, in 1948 to my car. Cheers then for now:
