I have owned: 1 MGJ2,1 MGTC,6 MGTD's,1 MGA1500,1 MGA TwinCam,2
Midgets chrome & rubber, 1 MGBGT over a lifetime since 1956 and I
have love and affection for each one. MG's are like children, they
all have their own personality's, and they all go their own way, but
I still love'm all. Presently I have a 52TD which I rescued from a
barn and is now going thru re-hab.

Re: MGTD Dashboard
I don't think all the funny responses to the TD Dashboard were meant to
discredit the TD as being inferior to the TA, TB or TC. I think the
responses were meant to say this is a TABC group and that TD questions were
going to get TABC replies (ie: What is a glove box? Or the split front axle
quip) rather than just saying, "Ask a TD group."
BTW - my reply would have been the glove box is not original so fill the
hole.

Re: MGTD Dashboard
When all is said and done the TD handled better, as anyone who has
driven a TC in a strong crosswind can attest, had a higher top speed
and better gear ratios than the TC. But, as a TC owner I could not
resist having a go!

Re: MGTD Dashboard
Dave don't worry, this is merely light hearted banter, at least we
did not bring up all the old feelings about the true transition car the TF, or
the abandonment of the Nuffield type engine in favor of the Austin powerplants
in the MGA's everytime the design dept did some sort of change the hand
wringers came out in full force
