MG-TA MPJG dizzy

I didn't have a micro adjuster on my distributor and so got an XPAG one, but it didn't fit; there is interference between the Dizzy and the block/side cover. Does anyone know if it  can be modified to fit, or if there's another model that would fit the TA? (I got used to using  this item on my Austin-Healey 3000 MK.III, to fine tune it).
