Tub minutia information needed

I just stared the construction of 9864's tub. I am starting with a basket case and my only reference has been TC's Forever and More. I am looking for information on the location and placement of the small metal brackets. They look to be located under the scuttle but to where exactly? Also where exactly the packing placed?  I know between the irons and the inner fender wells but where else? Is there a source  ( book? )  to go to? Michael Sherrell covers a lot of information but I am not finding everything I need.
