Having sorted my TB charging problem I want to finish the job by replacing the high and low charging resistors in the CJR3 box and by adjusting the 3rd brush in the dynamo to give optimum charging. I have 2 questions as follows:

Can anyone confirm resistors capacities/type as follows: Winter (High) 2.2 ohms and Summer (Low) 3.9 ohms, both 10 watt wire wound.

Could someone confirm best ammeter reading to go for when adjusting the 3rd brush. I have done this before and usually settled for around 2amps positive on headlight setting but that was just my guess.

Thanks and Regards,

Jeff, Many thanks for reporting back on the resolution of your charging problem.  It is of enormous value to the group as a whole to do this, especially when the fault is as obscure as yours.  it is particularly helpful when several solutions have been offered to know what actually worked.
