TC Registration Number EWP 996

One of my Christmas presents was a May 1960 issue of Car Mechanics magazine because the cover has a photo of a red MG TC registration EWP 996, and there is a feature on tuning the engine inside. This car still exists on the DVLA database, although it is now listed as being green.  I wonder if the owner knows his car was briefly a star in 1960?  Is he on this forum? Roger Bateman Dorset UK
