TA values

Hello T series folks,

Haven't been on this in sometime as sold my last TC about 5 years ago but still get the emails.  Thinking about purchasing a nice 1937 TA but has an XPAG engine out of a TC/TD from engine swap in the 50's when car was still in UK.  Trying to figure out what it might be worth.  If it was a TC would call it a #2 to #3 car as per Hagerty's value scale.  Paint and chrome are # 2 but interior more # 3 or good.  Engine is very strong but not correct.  Know this was a very common swap back "in the day" as the TA engine had issues. Any help would be appreciated as I try to come back into the T series world.

My guess would be , for a pretty decent driver, and some would consider the engine swap an improvement....in the neighborhood of around $15k.   If I were looking for a 'project to fix as a show car, more in the $6-9k range.  At $15k, you can have years of fun, and then pass it 'forward'.....for around the same amount......:}   TFs are around the same , and TDs may be a couple of thousand less, depends on where you are located.....and if the car speaks to you..... 15 to 19k range is probably ballpark.  Hard to say without seeing the car.  Got a solid TF1500 with wires and no rust, matching numbers for $12,500.00 if anybody wants one. My 87 year old father isn't ever going to get around to fixing it up and drive it. Very pretty and sleek cars that drive a bit nicer than the TABC's!
