I have acquired a LUCAS RF 95 Voltage Regulator that is boxed with this
label: "Genuine LUCAS Factory Exchange Service Scheme TC 9 Pole Control Box
RF 95/3 12 Volt". This units appears to be like new - never used (it even
has a King of the Road imprint in black sealant on the underside). My
concern is that it appears as if the adjustment screws have been tampered
with.
I am searching for someone who can bench test this unit and adjust if
necessary to make it usable in my 1949 TC(EXU). Thanks for any help that can
be extended.
Regards,
Jack Smittle

Hello, Jack,
Speaking of Lucas ephemera, I have a TC headlight rim with a green and white
Lucas sticker in it. I'm saving it as evidence of street cred. for the
originality police!

Oh, one more thing! I trust the Lucas box has a blue label proclaiming that
the contents are genuine B90 exchange units.

Ten Four, they're on their way..........!! Actually this weekend I join the
ranks of the Originality Police as a judge at our MGCC Concours. The Gold
Coast MGCC take their concours very seriously indeed. Once a member
threatened legal action against a judge (me) if his car did not win, as it
had recently won a National Competition........ I tried ever so hard to mark
him down let me tell you. Alas his car was the best on the day as such it
was judged the winner. Mind you I did take some time before I announced the
verdict, (took me a few cups of tea) the wait nearly killed the guy......
Am not an originality buff myself, but understand why some are and
appreciate their efforts. But I do so HATE judging, but its the old
story....... Someone has to.
