Caravans (British usage)

Post by Bullwinkle » Mon Apr 29, 2002 5:14 pm

All: Anyone know where I can find plans for building a folding caravan or tent trailer suitable for towing behind a TD or MGA? I like those motorcycle trailer tents because they are light weight such as Timeout or Freedom. I thought perhaps I could build one for less than the commercial products. Anyone ever use one of those tear drop sleep trailers towed behind a MG? Blake

Blake, There are some really good websites on teardrop trailers including the original Mechanix Illustrated article from September 1947. Go to Google and search for teardrop trailers in the image section. I've been thinking about building one for my TF or MGC. (Oh, I forgot, my wife says I have to finish the TC first - guess she has a good point.) Doug Pulver TC 5850

Dear Blake; We have been using a POP-UP tent for years with good results. Fits readily along with sleeping bags etc. Tally Ho! Thom Collins [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
