TA2969 Tickford had run out of excuses not to try a start. After 25 years, the engine completely rebuilt by yours truly, it started on the first crank of the engine. Amazingly, it needed no tweaking. Oil pressure 80 lbs, Temp 172 degrees, Idle dead on, valves quiet, no leaks of petrol, water, brakes. What a great feeling! Wife could not believe it. All those parts , scattered in little piles everywhere for like forever , went back together, and it actually works! Still need to finish sewing the hood, add the interior and carpeting, and then TA2969 will be done and ready to hit the road. This list provided a lot of tips to make it happen, thanks to all. Cheers, Lee Jacobsen, Dearborn, MI.
