Dear Group
I was interested to read the reply from Stephen D Stierman to Bill Harte
with regards to the engine colour he mixed "light grey green". My engine
about to be stripped down is roughly the same colour I call it the old BMC
engine colour duck-egg blue or green. The engine to the best of my knowledge
is original and from the condition of the car when I bought it I can't see
any body doing any repaint on the engine. The gearbox is red, could the
engine infact be the correct colour in stead of the red everyone mentions?
The Engine number is 8617 Chassis number 7732 enquiries in the UK are unable
to confirm that the colour is correct?
Regards
David Thoumine

What is the correct shade of red for a TC engine? Does it happen to be the
same as an MGB engine? I have some of that.
Maurice.
