How many TB's are left?

Post by Ray » Sun Feb 10, 2002 9:06 am

A question for you trivia keepers! How many true TB's still exist? How are they divided Tickford vs.. Roadster (Tourer)? Of these, how many of each are still drivable? How many are in the US? How many in the UK? In Europe? In Oz? NZ? Other areas? How many are undergoing active restoration? What was the last day of Abingdon factory car production before shutting down to convert to producing war materiel? Finally, how many TB's were produced post-Sept. 3, 1939? Best Regards, Ray 0556

In a message dated 2/10/02 09:07:00 Pacific Standard Time, spook01@home.com writes: > There is a neat little book, probably still available from the OCC, called "Wartime Activities of the MG Car Company." Its not clear who wrote it. In the foreword, he talks about storing hundreds of chassis (birth of the TC)? and tons of other parts in a warehouse away from Cemetery Road. No details on dates, but he states that by the end of 1939, the factory was cleared and ready to start war production. So one might assume that during the clearing process, some car production continued. Anyone with more details? Terry
