Thanks to all that responded to my request of 12/30, particularly to Jack Stehr who accurately identified the problem as a pilot taper that is simply too large. A smaller hand made pilot taper and simple jig are absolute requirements to install these bushes. Both can be made in short order and simplify the process immensely. A sliding woodworking vise that performs as an arbor is also indispensable. Anyone interested in more details contact me directly.
