Hi Harry,
Will try to give you some dimensions (in inches) to try and help you with
your problem.
First have you got the body number plate this should be fitted under the
scuttle on the upright timber section that the bulkhead bolts to. This
should be B269 if an early body and B270 if a later style body.
Early body should have a measurment of approx 35inches between inside of the
wheel arches, later body should be approx.32 inches.
The later petrol tank should be 32 inches wide sorry have not got dimension
for early petrol tank. So according to my information early body: narrow
rear wings, wide petrol tank. late body: wide rear wings, smaller petrol
tank. Hope this is some help

all coachwork parts together to see what's fitting, missing, etc.
> What realy scares me,is that I have a wide petrol tank of 93 cm wich I
found in the instruction book as fitting for an early TA, as mine is ch nr
0761 1936 and that I need for this type small back wings, wich I still have
to buy or to make. When i am placing the tank in back of the wooden and
plated tub,the rear
> wide of the body(measured halfway high) is just 89 cm, wich means that the
tank is passing the body for aprox.2 cm each side, and i realy don't see how
to place later the rear wings in a decent way..
> Looking further in catalogues , I think that I have an early TA chassis
with wide tank, but late and small body, wich needs smaller tank.
> Can anybody give me more information about this, even if possible the
exact dimensions of the rear body wide and the tank.
> Thanks in advance
