Bob was a founder of the Abingdon Roughriders, along with Jack Vandermale and Lucien Remy - in 1955. There was a great article in Road & Track several years ago about Bob's adventures with the car and a forlorn shepherd dog he picked whilst cross country transiting. Somewhere around 1960 a fellow named Yale Lee was in the club. Perhaps he had Bob's car. We didn't keep track of numbers then so don't know if there was a match.
