With the bearing conversion and Alfins my TC required a spacer behind the brake backplate to reduce an excessive gap between drum and backplate. Brian TC3550> -----Original Message-----

There should be no problem with Alfin brake drums, if you change wheel bearings to Timpken roller bearings, from ball bearings. As to the tube, keep it in.
