TC restorations

Just a thought if your planning a ground up restoration as I am doing as we speak.  If you are going to let somebody else do it, take a look at just these 3 things alone and then take a deep breath.  If you are going to have the body tub alone professionally rebuilt, it will cost you $9,000 to $12,000.  If your going to have the engine rebuilt correctly, that is another $6,000 to $8,000 ( add $4,000 for a supercharger).  A first class paint job with body work will run you $5,000 to $15,000.
Now add just these 3 up and you have enough money to go out and purchase a nice running TC.  If you want to continue with the restoration, you have an additional 3,000 + parts to purchase and restore.
So therefore, Am I totally crazy??  However, I am doing the bulk of the work myself!  (Pause), and that is about 1,500 to 2,000 hours.  No way around it!!!
