I was just enjoying a little romp under my MGTC. I had noticed that my rear engine mounts are turning into taffy. I gingerly ordered and received in good time new mounts from Skip. But it appears the engineers have won again! I can see no way to replace these mounts without removing the engine, or cutting a bolt, or perhaps disarticulating the frame!! Yes, I tried jacking up the transmission. Yes I have drawn the needed blood and gashed my knuckles, but alas cannot solve the puzzle. Can these mounts be replaced without removing said engine??? Re: Fw: Rear Engine Mounts
Peter, you have to remove the rubber tunnel and disconet the drive shaft. Remove the inner bolt on each mount and the assy. will swing in. Then re install the inner bolts. Mike Goodman
