Ladies and Gents,
Since May this Year I'm the proud owner of MG TC 9860 EXU. It came with a badge on the badgebar which is supposed to be of the MG T register. The MG logo in the middle, T at top left, Register at the bottom. Letter and Logo are in dark green. The badge has the same shape and dimensions as e.g. the MG Car Club badge.
Any idea which register this supposed to be, including contact info. I don't have any wriiten material which came with the car that show any Register information.
The badge bar was mounted with the standard brackets, which normally hold the Horn and the foglamp. My TC came with the Horn and Foglamp fitted. Since it is an EXU, there are not supposed to be an external Horn and Foglamp. (evidence for this fact apart from various books is the fact that there was a 1970 style switch and pushbutton mounted on a seperate plate to operate both horn and lamp and seperate wires outside the wire loom). So I took them both of, which left me with two empty holes. Since this looked kind of strange, I bought two new brackets (keep the original original) and took of the parts of the bracket which are meant to hold the Horn and Foglamp, made it smooth and round and sprayed it in the same British Racing Green as the TC is. It looks great, but is this common practise on EXU's "of of the factory" or not?
kind regards,
