MG YT Available

A very good friend has a magnificent MG Y Tourer available. He restored this car a few years ago and I watched the car in progress. It is without a doubt the finest Y Tourer in existence. It was a total ground up restoration. It was fitted with chrome wire wheels and came into the shop with a shorrock blower on the car with all the original fittings. Everything was rebuilt and it is truly a showpiece. The recent untimely death of the owner necessitates the selling of the car. The asking price is $40,000 and I know from viewing the restoration there is much more than that in the car. Anyone interested contact me off line. There are also several other cars available but not sports cars.

US$40K (AUS$80K) for a Y ? It doesn't matter how much has been done to it it can't possibly sell for that can it?? If so I can see a boat load of Ys heading Stateside......... Having owned a very respectable YT some years ago I will say that $40K will take a long time to achieve no matter what shape the car. There just wasn't much call for one, when I sold anyway. I got $12K. However, the family that now has mine absolutely love it, especially their two kids.
