SU Carburettor Bodies

According to Mike Sherrell's book, the original TC carburettor bodies (marked 3478M) distort and are better replaced with Morris 10 ones (3478L) or Wolseley ones (AUC6080). I have some bodies marked 3478B and some marked 3478G. Does anyone on the list know if these bodies are in the better material or the same poor material as the original TC ones? Mark Jablonski
