Thanks for all your help The two cars had engine overhauls within the 12 months before Jim's death so some of our concerns are nullified. I'll be working on the carbs and the plugs with the help of local 'enthusiasts' and with time and luck we'll get 'em right. . . .Sally

My table of replacements lists those as the correct Bosch replacements, but my instant responce would be that the plugs were not hot enough. . . . I have had the same problem in my TF in #3 cylinder for months. . .and it doesn't seem to matter what type is in there. I guess we have to check further up the line --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
