Badger,
I was out of town for the final part of your MG TC auction on eBay and wasn't able to follow it to completion. Can't seem to find it anywhere in the completed sales - did you end up keeping it (I hope) or did it leave your possession?

Re: Fw: MG TC
Sometimes the installation of a late model (T-Series) engine is an advantage,
although not to the Collector but the Enthusist. Like a XPEG 1500 engine from
a 54,5 TF. Any engine except a XPAG or XPEG, these from TBTF would
be a problem. I.E ; Datsun, MGA/B, Pinto, Chev V8, Flathead Ford 60, Volvo,
Hillman, I've seen them all. Generally the performance is much better, but
the subsequent resale value is poor. It is always possible to find a
replacement engine, but what mods have been done to install another engine,
The bearer plate on the front, to the motor mounts on the TC can be put on
the TD/TF engine without any real problem., so many later XPAG engines have
been put into TB/Cs. Let me know what engine is in the TC and maybe I can
advise you. Will, Ye Olde MG Shoppe Orlando. TC 9522

Moin Jung,
w hrend der Ferien habe ich mir berlegt, ob wir nicht die Idee von
Wikepedia, also ein sich st ndig erweiterndes Nachschlagewerk, auf
unsere TC bertragen k nnten. So ne Art TABC-pedia.

Hello !
I certainly would like to see a type of "Web encyclopedia". I am not sure
if people would use it. What kind of work is involved ?

Attachments :Hi All I am currently considering selling my TC. It is totally restored and can be used for both touring and/or racing. Pictures are in the Yahoo group photo section (Rebirth of TC9806) and also in the member gallery of the web site. I am not sure if I should sell it as a modified touring car or a race car or as a total package. And my biggest question is how much is it worth in each of those configurations. I can provide lots of additional details and pictures on request. As a starter here are two pictures. Thanks for any and all information and help. Re: MG TC
I think your description on the member's list page sums the car up: As produced, but can be quickly converted to vintage racer configuration. Selling it as a package, with the conversion bits and pieces seems to me to be the way to go. I have no idea what a good TC (stock) goes for these days. In the US, my guess is between $35K and $$5K, but that's only a guess, and I gather they go for more in overseas markets.

Hi Geoff,
Very unusual to get a TC with a TA engine, usually the other way round.
