TD Drive Train Assemblies for Sale

Dear Kimberites: We have had a number of inquiries on these from those on the list asking for details on these parts. Again, we apologize for a non-TABC subject but we thought the listers should have the first opportunity and there appears to be a significant interest. Enclosed are the particulars on the TD drive train assemblies we are selling: TD Transmission from 1953 TD 25256 (pictures attached)- We removed the cover plate from the transmission last weekend. We can see no visible wear on any of the gears. No gear teeth are missing and the transmission appears to have been completely rebuilt. (This appears to be analogous to the condition of the engine, which we did disassemble. The crankshaft looked brand new and was to factory specifications.) The transmission is complete including bell housing and shift extension, shift lever and knob just as it was when it and the engine were removed together from the car. We believe that the price range on this transmission should be between $300 to $700 US and that based upon its apparent condition should be toward the high side. TD Differential from 1953 TD 25256 (pictures attached) - The differential is complete rear axle assembly including brake drums and all fittings. It appears to be completely original and unlike the transmission untouched. We believe that this should sell for $300 US. John Seim, one of the Vintage MG Club's technical experts reported to us that the collars, sleeves and other items are about $70.00 new, the axles are $100.00 used with other parts installed. He further went on to say "This would be a great deal for someone who needs a complete [TD] rear axle assembly". TD Propeller Shaft from 1953 TD 25256 (pictures attached) - Looks original.
