Robert, I have a Recluse clutch that has less than 800 miles on it, out of a 2001 KLR650. Still have box, paperwork. I want $195 for it. I won't be back up to Oregon for another 12 days or so. Can't ship it out until then. Randy Jackson 72785 London Rd Cottage Grove, OR 97424 541-942-9767 Landline in OR. No Texts TEXAS Phone, Landline [u]

Robert,I don't have any personal experience, but at a motorcycle show in Rapid City some 7-8 years ago, Recluse was offering it for the KLR650; the factory rep was offering it to a 'list member' to propagate sales. m1.

I have been reading this news group for over a decade,........ this is new to me, so I have to ask, "What is a Rekluse Clutch?" I'm guessing it is an after-market clutch for the stock clutch? Or does it have some magical powers?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rekiuse Motor Sports releases all new Dual Sport offerings.
Boise, Idaho - November 1, 2007 - Rekiuse Motor Sports, a leader in providing innovative products to the motor sports industry, today announced the release of three new Rekluse z-Start Pro Clutch models for Dual Sport motorcycles. The Rekluse z-Start Pro Clutch is a high-performance, automatic centrifugal clutch that eliminates the need to modulate the clutch lever at low speeds and when stopping and starting. The z-Start Pro now supports the BMW F650 and G650x models, KTM 950/990 LC-8 Engine models, and Kawasaki KLR-650 models.
Rekluse now brings the benefits of the z-Start Pro to dual sport motorcycles whether it be navigating a technical trail or getting through stop-and-go traffic on the way to that next great ride. By eliminating the issues of manual clutch control, stalling, and arm fatigue from operating the clutch, the z-Start Pro brings significant benefits to riders in any dual sport situation. The z-Start Pro also provides "stock-like" clutch lever control to allow the rider manual control of clutch engagement when needed.
"We have had a lot of requests to support dual sport models and with z-Start Pro technology we can provide great performance for dual sport riders," said Al Youngwerth, President of Rekluse Motor Sports. "The benefits of a z-Start Pro make it possible to easily take these big bikes on trails you never would have considered before."
The z-Start Pro Clutch is available for 2003-2008 KTM's with an LC-8 engine, 2000-2008 BMW F650 and G650x, and all years of Kawasaki KLR-650. The z-Start Pro for Dual Sport models include a billet center clutch and retail from $729 to $829. Please contact Rekluse or your local Rekluse Authorized Dealer for more information.
The Rekluse z-Start Clutch is protected under US Patent Number 6957730 Bi.
