oil in the overflow vent

Post by Norm Keller » Sun Aug 20, 2017 10:20 pm

No, 14067-006 is just a tubular connector to attach the breather hose to the crankcase. There are many possibilities, but would need more information. How long was it in storage, does the engine run, is it engine oil, oil washed from the air filter by fuel, etc.?

head and brake light only come on when brake applied?

2006 KLR 650 - other wise they are dark. But when I depress the brake handle or foot lever, they both some on.    It's not the battery - less than two years old and bike starts fine.  .  .  Any ideas? A fuse perhaps?

A fuse perhaps?   <><><><><><><><> <><><><><><><><>   I'll go out on a limb and make a wild guess.  I think it could be twofold.  Remove the tail light bulb and see if the brakelight switches still turn on the headlight.  If they do turn on the headlight it suggests there is a problem with wiring or the bulb socket.  If they don't turn on the headlight I'll guess the taillight bulb was installed incorrectly or is bad.  I'll also guess the headlight fuse is blown.  It should have power on both sides of the fuse when the key is on.  The headlight fuse should be 10 amps.   Do the taillight bulb first incase that is causing the headlight fuse to blow.   Best, Jeff Saline The Beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota 75 R90/6, 03 KLR650     . . . . . .   ____________________________________________________________ Police Urge Americans to Carry This With Them at All Times The Observer http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3142/599b81dc563b61dc188est04vuc
