gmac,I never had a H750 so I could be wrong on the valve check interval.I was thinking about the KLR250 and the air cooled, VW bug; both had manual adjusters and (as I recall) 3K VCI. 7.5K sure beats 3K every day of the week. Didn't the airhead BMW have a 3K valve check as well?m.

I looked at a cut-away Africa Twin engine at the motorcycle show. I noticed that the it uses screw-and-locknut valve adjustment, no shims. That will make valve adjustments much easier.[u][/u][u][/u]

Their small displacement Shadow & RS "cousins" all share the design. Water-cooled like the AT, the inspection interval was 6k miles. The Transalps weren't hard at all. I just needed the goofy 4mm open-end adjustment wrench for the screw part. WHY they couldn't use a screwdriver slot, I don't know! Anyhow, it took longer to get everything apart than to do the actual adjustment.
