bike lift table, vise solution.

Post by DesertDatsuns » Tue Dec 08, 2015 9:04 am

I will also recommend the Harbor Freight table. I got one about 6 months ago, and love it. They are correct that the wheel vise isn't all that great. My solution was to set the bike on a stand, and then use some nice ratchet straps to hold the crash bars to the table. This completely negates the need for a wheel vise. Plus, if you use a small stand/lift under the base of the bike frame, jack it up a bit, then put on the straps. You can have both wheels off the table. So you can do tire/wheel/brake work at chest/waist level. So it's something you really should do anyways, it just conveniently accounts for the crappy wheel vise. Ryan Newman "achesley43@... I THOUGHT,,Haber F. Would be nice, then when I added Wing extentions for the riding mower, I have trouble raising and lowering. Looking into changing it into air. klr 650 tire recommendation

Post by Yahoo » Tue Dec 08, 2015 10:07 am

Some time ago I read a car tire review article where a particular make/model reviewed poorly. The manufacturer provide commentary that the tires reviewed had codes from tire molds that were recorded as having been destroyed. Sent from my iPhone

also tote a compact bicycle pump called a Mountain Morph.  It's kind of old school but they're small and work pretty well.  Have CO2 as back-up in the kit to fully air a flat etc.  Fits in the tank bag nicely. Lots of folks have started using Shinko's, so if something weren't OK we'd probably hear about it by now?  Has anyone seen prices come down with lower cost of oil?  What's worrisome to some extent are all the companies who've moved manufacturing to China, India and the like to reduce cost.  Doesn't always mean the product will suffer but have seen plenty of cases where QC becomes an issue.  Controlling vendor supply chain can be a big problem.

I also would love to convert mine to an air lift. Use mine for my KLR  & my 2010 Wing. Any thoughts on how to do this Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S 6 active, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone-------- Original message --------From: "'Mark W.' nomad59@...
