When thinking I might want to replace my '07 Bandit with over 80K actual miles on it, I take a ride on it, and , that feeling all goes away. I had it on the bench for about a week or so redoing my forks as the seals were leaking big time. So, while in there, I went ahead and soften up the Race Tech Gold Valve by taking out the last hard shim on the stack. Quick 70 miles or so ride yesterday and I'm back in love with my old ( 7 years since I bought it as an 07 left over in 08 )
It will never replace my 15 yr old KLR as it's the right tool for many of the afternoon rides in rural SW Louisiana on our gravel and beat up blacktop roads. As, the KLR will never replace my Bandit for just a long smooth / powerful ride down the smoother roads.

I'd like to welcome all of you lucky contestants to "Name That Farkle", OK players, here is today's question,
"I saw a MC today (didn't catch what brand/flavor of bike it was) but the license plate (holder) had a bar of vertical red LED lights on the left/right sides of the license plate. Not sure, but I assume the LED's light up when the brakes were applied? Is that an after market Farkle, or something from a specific brand, or did the rider custom fashion those LED lights? Good luck contestants, and you have thirty seconds to respond (insert Jeopardy theme music here)"
OK, lets see who is the lucky contestant to properly "Name That Farkle." The winner receives the accolades of KLR riders worldwide, the losing contestant receives a brand new Harley*!

Yes, exactly, sort of.............. I was heading in the opposite direction, and did not get a good look, only saw the lights in my rear view mirror, but that does seem to be about what I saw. And, it seems that they do light up when braking, and turning. Pretty neat idea.
Thanks!

Think there are several types. Mostly see guys with the modulated braking lights. Lots of BMW riders seem to have them mounted on RT's.
