post apocalyptic future bleak for klr - nklr-ish

Post by eddiebmauri » Mon May 18, 2015 7:37 am

Spoiler Alert :  If you plan to see the movie "Mad Max - Fury Road"  -  STOP reading now! For the rest of you...................... it seems that the post Apocalyptic  future seems bleak for the KLR.  I saw "Mad Max - Fury Road" this weekend, and it is chock-full of motorcycle action scenes, but, alas, I did not see any KLR's?  It seems that the post Apocalyptic future has no KLR's? Admittedly, I did not have the opportunity to slow down or freeze frame the scenes  to check out the bikes.  And, most of the bikes seem to be composites of several bikes, well, except one bike which is clearly a BMW.  I need to get a beemer to be ready for the apocalypse.  31N90W

Assembly from Ebay (Universal Hydraulic Brake Clutch Lever Master Cylinder 1200mm Pit Bike): http://www.ebay.com/itm/381037574403?_t ... AIT>

Stock KLR clutch lever stroke at cable pivot saddle:  slave pulls 0.330 " and stock cable pulls 0.350"

Mock-up works well at about 0.240" stroke.

Slave cylinder bore 11mm.

Effort to hold lever near to grip = 8.5 pounds

Vendor advised use of DOT3 brake fluid.
