I loved that engine in my Discovery I, until it overheated on me. Probably would have been OK but a little piece if smutz (technical term) lodged in the pressure relief plug on the coolant cap and wouldn't let the system pressurize. That took a while to figure out and it overheated a couple more times. It would be fine on its own but trying to tow with it would send the needle up. In LR's quest for more and more power to push heavier and heavier vehicles they had thinned the blocks down pretty thin around the cylinder sleeves and overheating would loosen the sleeves. Sad, still miss those seat warmers. Michael Taking his KLR to the much warmer Florida tomorrow. Sent from my iPad
