Ok .. I sell motorcycle insurance for a (sort of) living in AZ.
Un and Uninsured medical insurance covers the medical bills only. Sometimes
the rider only and not the passenger. Definitely not the bike. That is under
full coverage under the physical damages coverage. The insurance company
gets the deductible from someone and they fix the bike. If someone hits you,
part of the damage settlement is the Physical Damage. The deductible is part
of the recovery. If you get hit by and Un or Under insured motorist and you
go to the E.R., they don't ask you if you were hit by an insured motorist,
they just ask if you have hospitalization.
If you don't have Un and Under on your bike, see if your Automobile Un and
Under is portable. (If you don't have it on your car, please by all means
get that coverage.) Some car insurance companies in some states allow that
coverage to extend to motorcycles. If not, see if your medical insurance
through work would cover you if you have a motorcycle accident. Another
place to look for coverage on Un and Under medical coverage is your home
owner's insurance. There may be coverage for medial bills there.

A guy on the Cyleworld forum got hit by an uninsured motorist. He
didn't have insurance and it cost him around $30,000 in medical bills.
I would get insurance if I was you.
