KLR Listers,

Whomever needed a front wheel hub might want to look at this. You may
have to sign in to see it.

You better jump fast if you want one as I don't think they'll last 24
 hours.

klr fuel delivery
Listers,

Today RevMaaatin stopped by with his well maintained KLR (GEN I) with
around 60,000 miles on it. We did a fuel delivery test on it since he has
a stock petcock with the vacuum shutoff still intact. The tank had been
 filled about 75 miles earlier.

We connected a Mity-Vac to the vacuum port on the petcock and a three
foot length of 7mm ID fuel line. We had two 1/2 gallon containers and
filled the first one in 90 seconds and then just moved the fuel line to
the other container without stopping the fuel flow. The second was full
for a total of one gallon in 2 minutes and 58 seconds. Let's call it
 three gallons a minute.

We could hear the fuel cap vent working (quite a sucking sound) after
about 15 seconds and the fuel cap was closed for the entire test.

So if you do a fuel delivery test maybe figure on one gallon of fuel
 every four minutes or less.

This is the first time I've ever timed/measured fuel delivery on a KLR so
this is only a sample of one.

 Best,
