We will be hitting Moab for three days tomorrow. Without KLR, but with Jeep. No plans to check the theory on stuck Jeeps. KLR is heavy enough. Jeep no way. If I have to use the winch, its to go back home. I ll be giving Fred a bad time while I m there. I would ride with them, except I usually have an appointment to eat a bar of soap as it is less painful. But some can't resist and go places where I fear to tread. Like in a Jeep, or 'jeep'. I know some of you like the 4x4 stuff...allows you to get stuck in more remote places. Then there is the winch: drag yourself to more remote places, then get stuck. John B passed through here last summer and told me about riding at MOAB, where a one day circuit on the KLR typically takes 3 days in a 'jeep'. Huh? I did not understand that ratio, until I drank the Jeep KoolAid. Then I began to understand the difference in speed, and really appreciate some of the difficulties of 4x4 sport, cough, ownership. Then there is this guy...who just wants to do a little fishing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEYaTscCDIg I suspect the outcome was less than favorable. m1
