Kind of "nklr" because it may restrict riding a KLR for a while. LOL
Anyone have or know someone that had there Carotid Arties cleaned out? (Surgery)
I Gotta go in for more testing and good chance of needing the pipes cleaned out, surg.,
BUT, as usual they refuse to tell me much of anything, UNTIL AFTER, More testing and seeing a "$peciali$t".
(I looked up the definition of $peciali$t, They are basicly a me$$enger, that CHARGE$ ALOT, to relay what the lower wage assistant/tester,..... tells them.)
I tried asking about IF, I deal with this now, (test may 8th.) and surg is needed, how long will I be off the KLR?
YES, the guy with a College deg. had to ask..........WHAT is a KLR?
My 1st answer.....(while looking at him with a smirk on my face like he was being silly. It's THE Dual Sport.
Then after a few seconds, I politely added, ...... (W/ A FULL SMILE) AN ADVENTURE! Motorcycle.
SO, anyone know the average DOWN time?

Mark -
I have no clue but wanted to wish you a healthy surgery and speedy recovery.
No doubt your friends and family will enjoy spending time with you while you recover, but your KLR will be heart broken!
Best,
Larry H.

I ride my 96 KLR to and from the OR where I am surgical tech or scrub tech and have worked on many vascular surgeries, including your possible variety. In our world we consider these as pretty simple cases, the catheters are teensy and very cool. No worries mate. Small incisions. You ll be up and going. I would ride my bike to the surgery, but that would be inadvisable afterward, due to anesthesia.
Good luck, sir
