part for the taking.

When my friend's shop closed last year, he was going to throw out a plastic bucket full of various m/c parts. I bagged them up and just now got around to digging through it all. (Lots of o-rings, weird crank bearing sets and only-fits-XXXX parts.) Among the parts I have is a Gen-u-ine Kawasaki temperature sending unit, part #92066-1183 "Plug, water sensor". Double check me. But, it appears to fit a crapload of Kawasaki engines, including our KLR. It's the sensor that screws into the head near the spark plug. Example: http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/kaw/500b23fdf8700223e478cb69/cylinder-head It's last part on the list. The part's around $32-$35, from what I've seen. But, since this list has been a wealth of information both during and after my KLR ownership: If someone needs this part, the 1st one to email me off list with their address will get it. (US postal addresses only.) The catch? To cover shipping costs and to make this fun, just send me something fun in return. It could be a shirt from a rally, a gizmo you won at a bike run, etc... It doesn't matter. Just make it something fun. Interested? Mail me at edgyver40@...   -eddie in GA.

broken choke lever question

Hi All, Last week I inadvertently dropped the bike when stopped which resulted in a broken choke lever. I have since fixed it with an aluminium plate and cable ties. My question is - has anyone got a spare that they would like to part out, maybe someone has replaced it with the modified one. It's for a 2002 model not the later model that has a different lever. The part no is 46092-1123. I have checked Ebay and elsewhere but the postage costs from USA are prohibitive (read ridiculous) from all the normal suppliers. Cheers Glenn (Australia)

Re: [DSN_KLR650] Broken Choke Lever Question If you're in the Sydney area, I can have my daughter meet you at the Penrith whitewater centre. She'll be there April 6 - 27 with the US Team for the Junior/U-23 Canoe Slalom Worlds.  I'll send the part with her, pro bono. Mark
