Going over my records I see I am on my second set of chain and sprockets, not only one as I had thought. The first set lasted from 24k to 40k, so the current set has only 11k on it. The sprockets still look new. No problems other than the visual kinkiness. Should I worry? or just clean it and keep riding? I think I'll ride, just not too far away. I bought a torsion spring for the doo from Fred. Did not come with instructions. Great article!  Pretty much the same way I was taught in 1960 from an old National Flattracker  on my  , then new to me '59 Triumph 500. Every chain drive bike I've had since, get's the full treatment on finding the correct adjustment with a disconnect shock and a scissor or floor jack to hold it up.  Thanks for the link!

The Torsion Spring comes with a web address for installation instructions.  http://www.leftcoastklrs.com/Install_a_torsion_spring.htm  If you look on the packaging of this spring, you will see the URL there.
