A friend who had a Montesa Cota trials bike and others with Bultaco Sherpa T's started the North Texas Trials Association. I was trying to ride trials with a Hodaka. Great trail bike but not a trials bike. I used to ride standing on the pegs all the time....but old now.....like to sit down. Harder on the back in rough stuff and you have more control standing on the pegs in mud, sand, jumps etc. Dabbled some in motocross, cross country and rode an indoor short track race one night. Very exciting, got a 2nd place finish. Never tried road racing and don't particularly enjoy high speed paved riding. Much more comfortable sliding around in dirt. Trials bikes will go up and down anything. Criswell Sent from my iPad On Aug 15, 2013, at 12:38 PM, RobertWichert wrote: > Well, I don't really like riding standing up.
