Be careful with potassium though. I received a call from paramedics one afternoon that my boss was being taken to the hospital and I needed to walk down and pick up his car.
He had been fighting a bad cold for a few days and had been drinking Gatorade to stay hydrated. The only problem was that he overdosed himself on potassium (present in Gatorade), and it had caused him to pass out while stopped at an intersection, and he slumped forward on the steering wheel and rolled out into the intersection.
Ever since then, I'm careful to get my potassium, but also careful not to get too much.

Sure, it's the dumbest (and possibly obscene, if you have a dirty mind) looking thing I ever bought.
But, most bananas fit inside. They remain unbruised after hours in a tank or tail bag and if you're in a location
where you cannot readily dispose of the peel, is a decent container until you get to a trash bin.
I take the stickers off the bananas and put them on the case. It's covered now.
The hinge is beginning to fail, though.
No fear. I already bought a replacement guard and it's waiting in the wings.

A Banana is medium to lower, it's just easy to carry (BUT BRUSES & MUSHES)
