<><><><><><> <><><><><><> Jim, It sounds like the a carb jet or passage is clogged. Reasoning goes the rapid pressure change in the carb from the backfire might have moved a piece of debris into a passage. But since you are sure the jets and passages are clear that must not be it. Next thing I'd be checking is valve timing and clearances. If the timing is on I'd look closely at clearances and see if any have changed a significant amount compared to the other valves. I'll guess a valve issue (held open for some reason, could be carbon???) allowed the backfire. A larger clearance indicates the valve is bent and not closing all the way or maybe a piece of carbon is holding the valve partially open or preventing it from closing all the way or sealing completely. So the cause should probably be figured out so it can be corrected. need rear wheel

I just added a sidecar to my 2012 klr650.I would like to carry a spare rear wheel.The sidecar wheel is off a 2009 klr.I live in BC Canada and would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to pic one up.Anybody have one they are willing to sell? Thanks......Wayne
