I have a 30" inseam and found the Star Bolt a compact bike, too. Not exactly a trip bike. But, neat for around town and shorter hops. The spring seat adds over an inch of seat height + some additional suspension comfort. I'd be anxious to try a demo on one so equipped. If Honda had just saw fit to equip the CB1100 with 17" rims, I'd have one in a heartbeat. Just try and find more than two 18" rear tires in a radial that size. If you are listening corporate Honda, you dropped the ($10k) ball..... BIG time. -eddie

Not a bad looking bike but quite disappointing. I only have a 32 inch inseam and the distance between seat and pegs would make for an uncomfortable ride. The seat sucks also. Very little suspension travel in back. They went overboard trying to get a low bike with an ultra low seat height. They also had a Honda CB1100 which looked quite nice if you like retro standards. Couldn't sit on it, of course, and none of the bikes had prices on them. Next time I'm up in Rochester I'll bring my gear and see if I can get a ride on Bold, just to satisfy my curiosity. They had a nice looking KTM 650 Enduro with the "butt wedge seat" patent pending. Looks like it would be a fun bike to ride in the dirt and still be street legal. I think the seat would necessitate standing a great deal of the time. Alan Henderson A13 Iowa [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
